  Avoid this place at all costs!!! They are dodgy. We booked through booking.com and had to cancel out trip. We did this all within the cancellation time frame. Then you will get a message from Marc Dawson saying they have refunded the money but it will never show up in your account. They will make a different excuse each time but can never confirm the refund… this place is a scam so stay away!!!!!

  Our recent trip to Sea Temple Port Douglas was a pass, but it could've been better. Here's some honest feedback for improvements for the owners and organisers as well as tips for new holiday goers looking to make a booking. We booked a private room at ST and we expected to be a self-service apartment, but we at least expected to have some soap in the bathrooms on arrival instead of having to catch the local shuttle bus to buy our own. We had a big issue on one night where we arrived back late from dinner and our key cards would not let us in the door because the door mechanism suddenly fried for some reason. We tried calling the organiser 2-3 times and wasn't initially responsive but did eventually call back. We we're lucky that the staff at Pullman were really good at dealing with that situation (even though they're not paid to do so) and they managed to help us get back in. We were however disappointed that the organiser didn't even apologise or offer us a slightly later checkout due to the inconvenience caused, instead he shifted blame on body corp and etc. Tips for people wanting to book. 1. Get there during daylight. It's incredibly difficult to find your apartment during the night as the instructions on finding it aren't very clear. If you have a baby or a child who sleeps during the day, I'd recommend getting the plunge pool instead of the penthouse, that way you can have a dip while also listening out for your baby. With the penthouse, unfortunately one parent has to be upstairs while the Bub sleeps and the other can go for a swim. The restaurant at ST isn't worth the money. Dinner for two you're looking at A$100+ with pretty average meals and small portions. I'd recommend PD Main Street (Iron Bar is a must - book in advance). Also the buffet breakfast is $48 P/P and a massive rip off. I'd skip. If you don't mind paying 40% extra for a room, then I'd suggest going through Pullman directly and get the room service along with a plunge pool. If you're budget conscious, then booking private is still viable. Just lower your expectations. All in all, we were sacrificed, just not blown away.

  We loved this resort perfect for couples and families alike close enough to the main restaurant and shopping street of Port Douglas for your needs but far enough away so your not bothered by the crowds and noise
  Beautifully appointed rooms with all you need to self cater I you want
  Great views from every point, over the lush gardens, pool or mountain landscapes in the distance

  The resort is beautiful, Some of the staff were awful one girl with blonde hair said to me and my partner that it was the worst job she ever had and we should go stay in Cairns as Port Douglas was rubbish. The food was good in the restaurant but yet again awful staff getting orders wrong and forgetting customers.
